Saturday 4th April, day 7

Date Saturday 4th April, day 7

Location Resolute Bay

Temperature -50°C

Today we walked 11 nautical miles and it was a very tough day. It was very cold. The night before was -50°C which is probably the coldest that I have ever experienced in my life. In fact it was probably the coldest most of the group had ever experienced in their lives.

The best way to explain it is if you consider an ice cube and you hold it in your hand and see how long you can hold it. Then consider the ice cube is only -8°C, and I spent the night in -50°C.

The weather forecast predicted another very cold night ahead.
