I spoke to Dan O’Shea for a quick catch up on the situation with his book and documentaries. He told me of a movie that is coming out next month that bears a lot of similarities to a situation he dealt with.
Paul Conroy, a truck driver, awakens buried alive six feet underground with nothing but a lighter, a knife and a cell phone. Although he has no idea as to how he got there, he soon starts to remember what has happened to him.
The US agent tasked to recover Paul is Dan.
Compare that to the real life story of Roy Hallums who was held hostage for 311 days, cemented underground in a remote farm, and finally rescued by Dan O’Shea. You can read more about Roy’s story through the link, but I think you will find a lot of similarities between the 2 stories.
