Jack Sadelstein is a successful advertising executive in Los Angeles with a beautiful wife and kids, who dreads one event each year: the Thanksgiving visit of his “identical” twin sister Jill. Jill’s neediness and passive-aggressiveness is maddening to Jack, turning his normally tranquil life upside down.
Jack and Jill was universally panned by critics and holds a score of 4% on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite the negative reception, the film debuted in second place at the box office, with over $25 million.
Although I went into this film expecting nothing but predictable jokes to fill the time, there were some actually funny jokes peppered through the middle and end, though why Al Pacino agreed to co star is still a mystery!
