Spurs away, 28th Nov KO 1945 GMT

Liverpool return to action on Wednesday night when they travel to Spurs.

The Reds will aim to extend their eight-match unbeaten run in the Barclays Premier League.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended in a 4-0 win for Spurs over a nine-man Liverpool side, who had Martin Skrtel and Charlie Adam sent off.

This is the 139th league meeting between the two teams W 63, D 36, L 40

In 600+ games Carra has scored 3 league goals for LFC, the same number of own goals he has scored for Spurs against LFC

Potential Line up

I like the balanced nature of our attacking play with Johnson behind Sterling, and Downing behind Enrique.
I would rather Downing didnt play, but when Wisdom is on the right, Sterling receives little overlapping support, and so is much less effective.
Enrique had a man of the match performance last game as a winger, so this set up might be the best way to make the sum greater than the whole
What is a mystery is why Assaidi still hasn’t rated a start in the EPL…Enrique behind Assaidi would make more sense than Downing…
