Don’t forget to join other Reds at the Radisson. We now have 2 screens showing the game either side of the signed shirt.
Don’t forget to join other Reds at the Hyatt. It will be a late game, but this is the last game before the celebration of becoming an official club on 2nd March.
The return leg at Anfield sees us trying to overturn a 0-2 defeat in St.Petersburg to progress and play Dnipro or Basel (Basel won their home leg 2-0 also).
If LFC are knocked out, this will be our last game for 10 days, and probably our last game in Europe for 18 months!
Bearing that in mind, I expect to see the strongest side possible, but what BR considers that to be, is another question.
Sturridge and Coutinho are not eligible, and Skrtel is injured so the line up is likely to be
—Johnson – Carra – Agger – Enrique—
—————-Lucas – Henderson———
——Downing – Gerrard – Sterling——-
with a bench of Jones Wisdom Coates Allen Henderson Shelvey Suso Assaidi
However, as we have seen in nearly all the games where we have played well, or badly, Suarez tends to drop deep or wide, and work from there. What we have seen when LFC have played well, is Sturridge leading the line, with Suarez roaming deep and wide in support. This is a wild prediction, but I think we may see either Sterling or Shelvey as the front target man, and Suarez on the wing. We may also see Gerrard pair with Lucas as the double pivot, leaving Hendo to energetically close down the Zenit midfield.
